Welcome to the Summer Exhibition "Lone Malmgren - Hidden Emotions" In Drengestua gallery in Gjøvik!
Born and raised in Gjøvik, Lone is very happy to return to her hometown with her exhibition "Hidden Emotions".
This summer she has the pleasure of exhibiting in the same premises in Drengestua as her great-grandmother Bertha lived in at the end of the 19th century. Bertha resided with her family in the two innermost rooms in the same premises where Lone exhibit her collection of portraits.
She plays on the coexistence of several different emotions in some portraits, where the person's expression and the use of colour can appear somewhat conflicting. Cheerful, clear colours in a gloomy and lonely expression is one of many examples of this.
